A great repetitive book for this St Patrick's Day morning? Green Eggs & Ham!
Build a fort and get out that flashlight to make reading even more fun this weekend!
Congratulations to these Pirates for earning Greater Thumb East All-Conference basketball honors!
The 10th grade students are beginning to read Night by Elie Wiesel. They will be touring the Zekelman Holocaust Center in Farmington Hills in April.
Instead of reading a book, sing some songs with your students today! (Or better yet, do both!)
Our second reading month challenge is here!
Isaiah Kabban and Miguel Delrosario participated in the MHSPLA varsity state meet on March 9th in the 145lb weight class. Miguel secured the 6th position with a total of 1,000 lbs. However, Isaiah Kabban was disqualified from the competition. The top 22 best lifters in each weight class qualify for states, and the top 10 lifters at the state meet earn medals with all-state honors.
Get out your lawn chairs (and umbrellas, winter coats, and maybe even sunscreen!), spring sports season is upon us! Save this schedule so that you can catch all of the action beginning in April!
There are so many great books out there, even for those reluctant readers!
Just a reminder that the end of the 3rd marking period and Spring Break are coming up!
Sneak in some reading any time of the day today!
Our 8th Grade Visitation is Thursday March 14th! Students will spend the day learning about high school expectations, course planning, meeting with teachers, and more! Check out what is happening at HBCS this week.
Don't forget to sneak some non-fiction reading in this month! Non-fiction writing is writing that is based on facts, real events, and real people, such as biography or history.
Good luck to our students as they compete today at MSU in a high school programming competition against several other schools across the state! Many if these schools are larger, but our Pirates are going to give their all regardless!
