It's time for the 2nd annual HBCS, Harbor Beach Police Department, and Dollar General toy drive. Last year's event was a huge success, and we hope for the same this year. Monetary or new toy donations can be dropped off at the police department or the school; toys can be purchased and donated at the HB Dollar General, which also accepts monetary donations. Happy Holidays!
A big thank you to the Harbor Beach Rotary Club for their generous donation of a dictionary for each third-grade student!
Santa's Secret Shop is back this year! Information will be sent home with all elementary students today. Don't miss this chance to have your Little Pirates do their own holiday shopping.
A fun local opportunity next weekend!
Throughout November, the second-grade students did a thankful-for project. We featured a student or two each day and listed all of the reasons that we are thankful for that student! Then, we created festive turkeys and made Thanksgiving placemats with all of our ideas!

Congratulations to all of these players on their all-conference honors!
In just a quick walk through our halls, you can clearly see the positive impact the "Thankful for you" project has had! The PR class has created, printed, and hung nearly 300 certificates on the doors of staff members! The 2nd graders enjoyed their first PE-NUT (Physical Education and Nutrition) class yesterday. They learned about how to protect themselves from germs and made their own healthy wreath snack, made from mini bagels, veggie cream cheese, and bell peppers! They also practiced some fun exercises that got us up and out of our seats!
Popcorn Friday is just a couple of days away!
Chili with Chilly! Today, Mr. Chilman treated the staff to a delicious chili lunch! They also received an awesome mug that served as their chili bowl today. Thanks, Mr. Chilman! 🌶️☕️
Last week, the 8th grade ELA classes enjoyed a book club chat about The Hobbit with coffee, cocoa, and cookies. Shoutout to Mrs. Holdwick for brewing enough coffee and hot cocoa for over 50 students! (And for making the middle school hallway smell delicious all day!)
Thank you for the awesome season, players and coaches! 🏈🧡🖤

We won the @GreatSchools #CollegeSuccessAward! Harbor Beach High Schools is one of only 1,436 public high schools in the nation to win this year's Award, which is based on college preparation and postsecondary data shared by the state. We're excited to celebrate our dedication to preparing students to enroll in college and succeed once they get there. https://bit.ly/3xKVnRl
Students in Mrs. Franzel's third grade class received "Be Kind" bracelets today to celebrate World Kindness Day. The bracelets serve as a reminder of the positive impact that kindness can have and to encourage everyone to show random acts of kindness.
